Spilsby Town Council is inviting local residents to get involved with the celebrations as they join thousands of communities across the Commonwealth in lighting a beacon to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Town Council will be lighting a Beacon for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on the evening of Thursday, June 2nd at 9 pm on the site off Shamfields, Vale Road, Spilsby.
The Beacon is one of the thousands being lit in the UK and the Commonwealth and forms part of the official programme announced by Buckingham Palace for the Jubilee weekend.
In addition to the lighting of the beacon, the town is also hosting a Platinum Jubilee Picnic in the Park on Saturday 4th June.
This free event for all will feature aerial circus performances and workshops from ‘Creative Heights’ produced by Spilsby Sessions House, as well as a bouncy castle, games, stalls, and more.
