Christmas In Spilsby
After a suitably frosty start to the day, the Christmas started in Spilsby as the town held its' annual switch-on event and Christmas Market.
Under a new management team from previous years, including Spilsby Business Partnership and the Town Council, there was craft, Christmas goods and food stalls, face painting, and amusement rides. A full programme of entertainment during the afternoon with a mini fun fair, puppet show, singing from local singing groups and Skegness Silver Band.
The event was opened at 1pm by the Mayor Cllr Terry Taylor and Canon Coates. The Christmas Lights were switched on at 5pm by Cllr Taylor.
Santa was also there giving out small gifts to the children and this year was accompanied by Mrs Santa.
We are holding a Christmas event open to the public - how can I advertise it?
We are more than happy to help promote any local event that is open to the general public (even if an admission fee is charged). Events can be added to our events calendar free of charge all year round, and we can help you promote your event through our news and social media pages - please contact us for more information.
When is "Cracker Day"?
Cracker Day is organised by Spilsby Rotary, and is to be held in the Franklin Hall on 7th December. The event organisers have not provided any further information about this event. If they provide any information we will publish it here.
