Updated: More King Edward VI Academy students need to self-isolate due to Covid-19 outbreak

More students at King Edward VI Academy will need to self-isolate, according to the latest information from the school, after a number of positive Covid-19 test results.

Students in Year 11 will need to self-isolate until 7 December, returning to school on 8 December. Students in Year 9F should also self-isolate until 10 December, returning on 11 December.

Additionally, some students who use buses are also required to self-isolate:

  • Hunts 1 bus – self-isolate until 7 December, back in school on 8 December
  • Brylaine bus – self-isolate until 4 December, back in school on 7 December
  • Stagecoach – if students used this service on 26 November they will need to self-isolate until 10 December, returning on 11 December.

Update

As of Friday 4 December a number of pupils from Year 10 are also required to self-isolate for 14 days. They will return to school on 4th January.
