Local residents are being reminded that they need to ensure they are registered to vote by responding to the Annual Canvass when the form is delivered to all homes in late June.
Every year the District Council has to prepare and republish a new Electoral Register listing everyone who is eligible to vote.
Every home in the District will receive a form, which needs to be returned immediately.
This year’s Canvass will take place much earlier than usual to ensure that the register is as complete and accurate as possible for the Police and Crime Commissioner Elections being held on Thursday, November 15, 2012.
