Spilsby’s Christmas Tree is back in place now after being damaged by the high winds. The town’s tree was removed early on Friday morning after the base was broken by the stormy weather. The tree has now been replaced by a team of volunteers today (Sunday). The tree has already attracted a number of visitors after hearing about the fate of the tree at the hands of the weather.
An appeal has been made for a festive-spirited Spilsby resident to donate a Christmas tree for display in the town centre. Spilsby Town Council would like to hear from anyone who knows of any trees at least 20 foot in height to be located in the usual spot beside the John Franklin memorial.
