A number of illegal immigrants have been found working in Spilsby by the UK Border Agency over the last few months.
On Monday 24th January, officers from the Agency visited Charm Spice on the High Street. Agency staff then checked the immigration status of the staff.
One man, a 30 year old from Bangladesh, was found to have entered the UK illegally and has been detained pending enforcement action to remove him from the country.
It was revealed that in December, two Chinese workers were arrested after a similar raid on Jade Garden Chinese Takeaway after it was shown that they were also in the country illegally.
The businesses have been charged with employing illegal workers and may face fines that could total £10,000 per worker. However, if the businesses are able to prove that they carried out appropriate checks on their workers this may be avoided.
