A meeting has been arranged to discuss rumours surrounding a ‘traveller site’ off the A16 at Stickford.
The meeting has been called by Coun Victoria Ayling and will be held at Stickford Community Centre on Tuesday at 7pm. It follows fears in the area that a site used by travellers in Hagnaby Lane is being lined up as a ‘designated stop’ by council bosses.
Coun Ayling said: “It’s important that we have the rumours confirmed or denied one way or the other.”
People can submit questions in advance at the Red Lion pub or raise them on the night. Coun Ayling expects council officers to attend, as well as ‘hundreds’ of residents.
