An afternoon lunch club in Spilsby has benefited from a £200 grant from Spilsby Town Council.
A spokesman for the Town Council said: “We are pleased to support the work of the Lunch Club with a donation of £200 towards the running costs.”
The Lunch Club meet every Monday in the Franklin Hall at 12 noon. They provide a two course hot meal and an opportunity to chat with friends. It is run by a team of volunteers who provide table service for the diners.
The meals are cooked at Eresby Hall and transported down to the Franklin Hall.
New members are always welcome and there is always plenty of room.
Spilsby Town Council are happy to accept grant applications from any charity, voluntary group or community organisation operating within the town. The grant must be for the benefit of several residents and is not payable to individuals.
