Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that the deceased man is 46 year-old David Twigg, a local businessman from Burgh Le Marsh.
The circumstances of the incident appear to be that David and his partner, Julie Dixon, were confronted by two men at their business premises in Station Yard, Burgh Le Marsh, on the evening of Sunday 13 March and that a fire was started in the building while Mr Twigg was inside. Ms Dixon was able to escape the scene without serious injury. Further tests are being carried out but it is believed that Mr Twigg died as the result of smoke inhalation.
Lincolnshire Police are seeking information from the public about the two men who were white, wearing dark clothing with their faces obscured. One was approx 6′ tall and the other approx 5′ 7″ tall.
