Issues relating to access for the elderly and disabled customers had also been part of the feedback received by the Post Office, and they have confirmed that they will be carrying out improvements to provide a permanent ramp and wide automatic door at the entrance, as well as a clearly marked disabled parking bay.
Suzanne Richardson, Regional Network Manager of the Post Office said: “We do understand that some customers may be concerned about carrying out their Post Office business in a different type of environment from what they are used to. I would like to assure you that this doesn’t compromise the professional service that we expect to be provided at all our Post Office branches.”
“You’ll be re-assured to now that we already have a number of branches successfully operating from premises of a similar host retailer and customer and operator feedback has been very positive.”
