On behalf of Spilsby Town Council, I want to say a huge thank you to the many volunteers doing what they can for those in need. I must say, it doesn’t surprise me at all, this town has to be one of the best places anyone can live, when the chips are down, people pull together to try to make things better.
Our clerk and deputy clerk are working hard to ensure the council continues to function and where they can, councillors are playing their part too. My isolation finishes next weekend and I will be ready to assist where and how I can.
The message is clear from the NHS and their army of dedicated, hard working staff, listen and adhere to the instructions given and we can beat this awful virus.
With this in mind, I wonder if you would all consider joining the many millions around our great country and open your doors or windows each evening at a specified time to be agreed and applaud these wonderful NHS workers? I will wait your views.
Finally, if you do need help, there are people out there willing to assist. Telephone Spilsby Town Council and leave your contact details, messages will be picked up regularly.
