Some roads around Lincolnshire are appalling with the sheer number, size, and depth of potholes.
However, road users are not the only ones who are suffering from the lack of investment as many footpaths are worn out and dangerous. Footpaths are the forgotten cousins of the roads when it comes to awareness in the media but can have a big impact on the lives of the people who use them.
Lincolnshire County Council is to undertake some limited work on improving some of the footpaths in Spilsby over the coming weeks and months. An initial repair of the footpaths will take place before a new micro surface is put on the top to make them smooth.
The list is as follows:
Halton Road | Church Street | Dennett Close |
Magellan Drive | Old Market Avenue | Shamfields Road |
St James Walk | Lady Jane Franklin | Spilsby Meadows |
Talbot Close | Tasman Road | Boston Road |
Woodland View | Fitzjames Close | Foxglove Close |
Vale Road | Winston Road | Eresby Avenue |
Ancaster Avenue is awaiting confirmation of works that are needed. Residents will be notified by Lincolnshire County Council when work is due to commence in their area.
