Improvements to Spilsby’s CCTV system are nearing their completion, with the final work is due to be completed by the end of November. The improvements mean that footage from the cameras can be accessed from the Council office. The reason for the update was due to health and safety issues in the retrieval of the information. Police investigating two incidents of shop theft at the Co Op store in Post Office Lane, Spilsby, have released CCTV images of a female who may be able to help with the enquiry. On two occasions between the 8th and 9th December, large quantities of meat and deodorant products were taken from the shop. Anyone who recognises the woman in the images is asked to contact PC Gary Pindar-Jones by calling 101.
POLICE have asked for Spilsby’s CCTV to cover a suspected trouble spot, gathering ‘vital evidence’ after a spate of reported incidents. Recently installed CCTV is showing its worth after a local man is identified in three attempted burglaries. Officers investigating three attempted burglaries that took place in the centre of Spilsby around 2am on Tuesday 29 March have arrested a man.
