Rowers from King Edward VI Academy in Spilsby tested themselves on open water for the first time recently. The 16-strong group travelled to Boston Rowing Club in a step up in their training. King Edward VI Humanities College welcomed David Ross, Chairman of the David Ross Foundation, as he visited the college for a guided tour and to speak to staff and students. Following the Governing Body Meeting on 11 July, King Edward VI Humanities College will be applying to the Secretary of State for an Academy order to become a Sponsored Academy later on this year. The decision taken by Governors follows on from an initial consultation, which began in February this year.
