Spilsby Theatre’s Lounge is due re-open on Friday 2nd February after more than 600 hours of work by volunteers. Plans for 374 new homes comes under fire

A target setting out the number of new homes to be built in Spilsby has been challenged by town councillors. The minimum target set out in the East Lindsey Local Plan is 374 new homes in the town over the next 15 years, although the figure could increase. Protesters Launch Balloon Campaign Against Turbine Plans

Campaigners opposed to plans for a wind farm near Wainfleet are flying a balloon to demonstrate the scale of the turbines. The company, RWE Renewables, wants to site four masts at Wainfleet but protestors are demonstrating the height at which the turbines would top out by flying a balloon at 127m (417ft).  They aim to show how much of an impact this would have on the surrounding countryside.
