Plastic bag usage has plummeted up to a staggering 80% in the three month period since the introduction of a 5p charge, according to three leading supermarkets. Anglian Water has confirmed the hosepipe ban will be lifted on Thursday, but saving water will still remain a high priority. Local residents are being reminded that, despite the current rainfall, the hosepipe ban is due to start on 5th April. The ban will be effective for all domestic customers across the Anglian Water area.
