Plastic bag usage has plummeted up to a staggering 80% in the three month period since the introduction of a 5p charge, according to three leading supermarkets. Anglian Water has confirmed the hosepipe ban will be lifted on Thursday, but saving water will still remain a high priority. RWE npower renewables have announced that they are putting plans on hold to build a 40-acre electricity substation in the area. RWE npower renewables is looking to develop the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm, which could see more than 300 turbines built off the coast near Mablethorpe.
