Two airworthy Lancaster bombers have united with a grounded model for the first time in 50 years. Lancaster Bomber event to be rearranged at heritage centre

Organisers behind a Lancaster Bomber fly-past have said they are looking to rearrange the event after they were forced to cancel. A Canadian Lancaster suffered engine trouble on Friday and has not been fixed in time for the event at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is top flight attraction

Visitors to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre have voted it one of the best in the country. The attraction at East Kirkby, which receives 40-45,000 visitors a year, has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for the second-year running. Funeral service for Fred Panton

Mourners have today celebrated the life of Fred Panton, who co-founded Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby near Spilsby. Fred died aged 82 on June 9 surrounded by his family. In 1988 he and brother Harold opened the centre, home of Lancaster Just Jane, as a tribute to Bomber Command and their brother Christopher, who was killed in a raid over Nuremburg on March 30/31, 1944.
